Project Title:

Investigating molecular and regulatory mechanisms underlying cellular stress responses

Project Description:

I am interested in understanding and engineering mechanisms of translational regulation to achieve precise control of gene expression. My current work focuses on designing and constructing a library of programmable translational frameshifting elements to systematically evaluate how specific sequence features influence ribosomal shift efficiency in AAV-based systems. Through molecular cloning, reporter-based assays, and quantitative analysis, this project aims to establish frameshifting as a tunable strategy for regulating protein expression within compact gene therapy vectors.
